I keep hearing... No, he can't be here. That's not possible. But who's really out there? This communicator keeps picking up strange voices.

[The communicator picks up the sound of soft laughter first, and then the very loud sound of something being eaten, lips smacking happily and then panting. The sound of sniffing soon follows.]

Off, boy. Here, give me that.

[Oro barks as he takes back the communicator, stuffing it in his pocket, not realizing it's still on.]

Okay. Sit. ...Siiiit. Good job. Here you go.

[There's silence, but the wolf is certainly enjoying more than he should of turkey in the background. There's a loud thud and laughing again.]

Down, down Oro. Don't beg.

Roxas? What is he-?

[There's a pause, and all goes quiet.]

...Run, boy! RUN!

[There's a distant shout and then Oro barks, the communicator shutting off immediately after.]

I've looked everywhere for days and he's... [A shallow sigh.] ...he's gone.

[In the background, if you listen closely, you'll be able to hear the sounds of chirping faintly. Roxas softly laughs.]

I look away for one day... I can't believe the new ones are hatched. [He sighs.] So that's...two chickens, three babies, and three newborns. At this rate, we'll have a bunch of them by the end of winter. That's a start.

[A pause, as though debating whether or not to turn off the communicator.]

Even when people disappear, more are brought in their place. I don't know if that's the Gods or Discordia or just...this place, but it makes you wonder how long we'll be here. Maybe some of us will go home tomorrow. Maybe we'll be in this place for another year or two.

[A pause.] I guess it's hard to treat each day like it's your last.


...And I wonder if that carnival place really does exist out in those woods.

What happened last week... I'm sorry. I don't remember, but I know who he is. What he is. And it's... [A sigh.] This sounds so stupid.

I'm sorry. I really am. If there's anything I can do, I'll do it. But, can anyone...actually tell me what he did? Where was he all week? Did he hurt anyone?

[He sounds out of breath, and there's a good few moments before he finally says anything.]

[The voice post is quickly turned off.]

Keep away from the perimeter of the city if you can. The Heartless have really numbered since we've been in Termina. I don't know where they all can be coming from, but they're a real problem.

...Before I forget, does anyone have any extra wood? I need to make a chicken pen. I think I found the solution to food for the winter. I brought back two rabbits too. Someone there told me they multiply pretty quickly. With a couple chickens and rabbits, we can have a somewhat steady supply of food once we have enough.

[Something starts making noise in the background.]

...What?

[More noises. One grows louder, until it's apparent it's the noise of a cat crying.]

I know, I know. But those chickens aren't for you. [The crying stops as he quiets them.] What to do with you two...

I guess I still need help renovating Chez Nobody. It looks like it used to be five stories. If we could rebuild it, we'd have another secure home for people in case of an attack. I haven't seen any rats around, thankfully, and the drawings are gone. Still can't help but think something's still coming our way.

...You know, maybe we should think about that Council idea, again. It might help the city to have a more open way of helping everyone here, and everyone will be heard at some point. Couldn't hurt, could it?

[Roxas sounds exhausted when his voice finally comes in clear enough.] ...I've had easier nights when the Tower's been at shore. Great.

I don't know if anyone's seen the bulletin, but I think we're about to run into a whole lot of trouble. Henry...I think you better come look at this. Bring someone with you, like Ada or Claire.

[A sigh and a yawn.] I really...really want to go back to sleep.

[There's a scraping noise.]

...Okay, that's Lexaeus'. They're huge. So that'd make...those Vexen's. Yeah, okay.

[There's a very long pause, before Roxas finally sighs.]  I guess those are mi -- Nope, those are Zexion's. Okay, those go...here.

I still can't figure out if these are Axel's or Saix's. Oh well, we'll figure it out.

[A rustling, and then finally, the video function turns on. It shows a whole row of pairs and pairs of Organization boots, all lined up neatly by size underneath the tree. There's another sigh from Roxas.]

There's so many of us here. Great.

[The post turns off abruptly.]

[The faint sound of sloshing water can be heard in the background, but no voices, nothing. This continues for several minutes until finally, Roxas' voice can be heard.]

It's not real. It's not. You can't fool me this time! 

[His voice chokes.]

Hayner. Pence. Olette. You're not real, are you? It's just another digital -

...You. Why do I keep seeing you everywhere? Who are you? [A pause.] ...Wait! Come back! There's still something I need to say! 

[The sloshing of water picks up, frantic as he starts running.]

Don't go!!

[--Click.]

[The post turns on to the sound of loud breathing and even worse, the sound of clicking as teeth clamp down around the device. All there can be seen is the reddish-black of his mouth, and then it clatters to the floor. A tail can be seen, flashing into view and then gone again. A whimper now, and a loud gasping hiss.]

Easy boy. I don't need your slobber in these. Just a little - There. I forgot I had an extra few potions.

[The wolf barks happily, suddenly back in front of the device briefly before he's gone again. The creak of a mattress is heard. There's a pause before Roxas' sigh is heard faintly.]

I guess...you're still sleeping.

[He picks up the communicator.] Oh, Oro... That's gross. [The video turns off.]

...Everyone okay?

I don't think we should have to tell most of you to stay inside. They're not your friends or your family or...or anyone you know. They're monsters.

[He sighs, out of breath.]

If you're outside tell me where you are. Everyone needs to go inside, either to the Sanctuary or the Lux -

"Roxas!"

[A pause.]

Axel? You idiot, what are you doing out here? [Mumbled:] You sure pick a funny time to show yourself.

"I came back for you, partner."


[The communicator clatters to the ground and the video post turns on: all that can be seen are two sets of feet, one in black boots and one in sneakers. And then there's a flash of red, fire, as it streams past the camera. Roxas yells and a foot collides with the communicator, turning it off.]

[The video clicks on to the heavy panting of a certain direwolf. Roxas is laughing softly and the wolf is whimpering, pleased.]

Good boy. Come on, get it. One more. Go... get it!

[There's the sounds of splashing water and an even louder howl several moments later, followed by the boy's voice again.]

Good boy. Give. ...Come on, drop it. Drop it. Oro! Oro, come here. ...That's it. Good boy. Very good. Drop it.

[Just that quickly, Roxas gasps and the wolf lets out a loud and threatening howl. The communicator drops. The feed clicks to video, showing Roxas at an odd angle on the sand and what looks like faint lights in the distance.]

...Wow. So this is what it looked like. It's -

[He pauses.]

Oro, come on boy. Come on! [Roxas disappears from the screen, the wolf barking but staying close to the communicator. The blond comes back only to grab the communicator and turn it off.]

I found Rakuen. She doesn't look like she's eaten in days. She slept in my place last night and I'm feeding her. She's a mess too. Who does that to an animal?

Zant's dead. The Twilight's finally lifted too...after all that work. At least it's finally done.  I found Alfred too, but still no sign of Claire. He was telling the truth, so just leave him alone.

Riku, Sora, let's talk. I'll be back at the Lux soon.

Sheik, Prince...let's go running sometime soon. I need to get away from it all and I'd like company, if that's okay.

[The audio function clicks on, and the first thing that can be heard is a very loud WUMPWUMPWUMP and the steady panting of a direwolf's breath nearby. Roxas laughs softly.]

Down, boy. Give me a minute.

[The wolf barks, and the noises quiet ever so slowly.]

I'm back. Is everyone okay?
